Connect & settings

Connect Telegram

Push messages from your team straight to a Telegram chat or channel.

Starter

Connect Telegram and your team can push messages straight to a Telegram chat or channel. Handy for sending yourself drafts, or broadcasting to a group you run.

Where to find it

Open Settings → Connected tools and choose Telegram.

Steps

  1. Create a bot. In Telegram, message @BotFather, run /newbot, and follow the prompts. BotFather gives you a bot token. Copy it.
  2. Find your chat ID. Add the bot to the chat or channel you want it to post to, and get that chat's ID (BotFather's docs and helper bots make this easy).
  3. Paste both into DeskPixel. Enter the bot token and chat ID in the Telegram tile and save. It's stored encrypted. Approve the first message when an agent sends it.

Tips & tricks

  • Use a private channel for yourself. A solo channel is a clean inbox for drafts the team produces.
  • Keep the token secret. Anyone with the bot token can post as your bot. DeskPixel stores it encrypted, and you should treat it like a password.

Requirements

Connecting tools requires the Starter plan or higher.
